James M. Stanley was born in Dallas, Texas, but has lived most of his life in Fort Worth. Jim received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration from University of Alabama and then went on to law school there, graduating in 1976. Upon coming to Fort Worth, Mr. Stanley worked for Doug Crouch and Brantley Pringle until 1978 when he began The Law Office of James M. Stanley, which is now located in the historic Reeves house here in Forth Worth.
Jim Stanley is the driving force behind the law office. He practices in the fields of personal injury law, wrongful death, automobile accidents, construction accidents, product liability, medical malpractice, unsafe premises, and workplace deaths and serious injuries throughout the state of Texas, including Johnson, Hood, Tarrant, Parker, Wise, and Dallas counties.
Mr. Stanley is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA), Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association (TCTLA), and Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA). He is licensed Texas by the Supreme Court of Texas to practice in all courts in Texas and the United States Court for the Northern District of Texas.
Jim and his wife Christi have three children, Amber Anderson, an attorney who practices here in the office, Jason Anderson who works in the computer field in Austin, Texas, and Mary Katherine Stanley, who has just graduated from law school in Macon, Georgia. Jim and Christi have one grandchild, Jason's son, Brennan.
