Education
James M. Stanley was born in Dallas, Texas, but has lived most of his life in Fort Worth. Jim received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama and then attended law school at the University of Alabama School of Law, graduating in 1976.
Early Experience
Upon coming to Fort Worth, Mr. Stanley worked for Doug Crouch and Brantley Pringle until 1978 when he began The Law Office of James M. Stanley, which is now located in the historic Reeves house here in Fort Worth.

Jim Stanley is the driving force behind the law office. Mr. Stanley handles cases in the fields of personal injury law, wrongful death, automobile accidents, construction accidents, unsafe premises, product liability, and workplace deaths and serious injuries. He practices throughout the state of Texas, including Johnson County, Hood County, Tarrant County, Parker County, Wise County, and Dallas County.

Mr. Stanley is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA), Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association (TCTLA), and the American Association for Justice (AAJ). He is licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas to practice in all courts in Texas and the United States Court for the Northern District of Texas.
Get to Know Jim's Family
Jim and his late wife, Christi, built the Law Office of James M. Stanley. They were blessed with three children (Amber, Mary, and Jason) and many grandchildren. Amber and Mary are both successful attorneys, and Jason successfully operates a computer programming business. On January 21, 2013, Christi passed away after a courageous fight against AML Leukemia. Her influence on the law practice and belief in the mission of helping others serves to inspire the attorneys and staff at the Law Office of James M. Stanley.
